Marketing Specialization

Marketing and Digital Specialisation

The Marketing specialization has been a critical part of the DSC 2 year integrated marketing communication programme for over 28 years now. The DSC alumni have made their mark in the industry and are today leading various departments and organisations as marketing managers and directors or as brand managers. The module aims to familiarize students with key Marketing concepts and their applicability in real-time situations. DSC is one of the best institutes for Marketing Courses in Delhi.

The specialization includes all the key areas of Marketing such as the principles of marketing, product management, brand and competition management. It includes competitive strategies and key marketing strategies. The course also covers detailed study of buyer behavior, digital and direct marketing. Also an in-depth study of rural marketing and communication and a global perspective through international marketing. The latter two areas delve into diametrically opposing marketing thinking and concepts which are studied in detail.

The specialization involves analysis of numerous case studies, workshops, intense presentations, brand and marketing fests and games to integrate theory with concept applicability. Experts from the industry are invited to take specific areas and enable students to meet future challenges effectively.

Theory without practice is incomplete. The DSC programme ensures that each semester ends with work experience through intense internships. At DSC a new concept of half day work along with classes has been integrated since inception making the theory practice interface stronger & relevant.

This work experience adds value in various ways. A working knowledge of the industry at the outset. But also soft skills, professionalism, self confidence, networking are some of the other take-away.

Upon completion of the specialization students may obtain placements with leading organisations such as Airtel, Spicejet, Perfetti, Ford India, Ferns and Petals, Twinnings, Arabian radio network, Del Monte, PricewaterhouseCooper among many others.
