1. What is your ‘success’ moment @work/internship?
One of my mentors, Mr. Nawal Minj guided me to write a client brief. He helped me write it for the first time and later, sent it to the Creative Director. For me, that felt like a great accomplishment which I can’t forget. Also, he always tells me how my work is going to proceed after I’m done. So, whenever he tells me that my PPT was presented to the clients, it feels very satisfying.

Through so many assignments and presentations, perseverance, multitasking and time management – these were the most important things I learnt.

4. What difference do you see between you and other interns from other colleges (also employees)?
The feeling of belongingness and commitment are the differences between the other interns and us.

The growth that I’ve seen in myself is unbelievable. The last year has been nothing but full of learnings and improvements. This was probably the best year, with respect to personal and educational growth for me.

6. Where do you see yourself 20 years from now?
With such a flying start to my career, I don’t think I can see myself at 40. But hopefully, mentoring the students of DSC, interning with the company I’ll be working at.

c. Be professional and maintain boundaries but also don’t forget to have fun.

3. How did DSC prepare you for internship – professionally and personally?
Professionally – to have a formal and productive outlook with whatever task is at hand. Also, to think what works or doesn’t in the real world.
Personally – We always have to fight our own fight… no one else is going to do that for us.

4. What difference do you see between you and other interns from other colleges (also employees)?
There are no interns from other colleges. But there are some new joinees, who are around my age. I believe DSC has taught me to carry myself professionally, which I find lacking in them

I was quite under-confident & not good at communicating. Overtime, DSC has made me confident and also taught me how to communicate with others and express myself in the process as well.

6. Where do you see yourself 20 years from now?
Hopefully in a nice city with my family, lots of dogs, and happy. I also hope I can do something for strays! (On the materialistic side, I wish I’m rich enough and in the C-Suite!)

Muskaan Thakker, Havas

1. What is your ‘success’ moment @work/internship?
When it comes to the success moment in my internship or work, it’s delivering quality work more than what my mentor expects me to do. Secondly, building up the trust factor and making my mentor believe that I can face all the struggles, and still deliver work within deadlines.

2. What are 3 learnings you carried forward from DSC?
Every experience has a new learning, and you’ll never know everything.
No matter at whatever height you reach, there will always be something that you won’t know and you’ll learn it.

Being able to mould myself as per the situation and never being over confident about anything.

3. How did DSC prepare you for internship – professionally and personally?
Firstly, by making me confident when it comes to public speaking.
Secondly, never say a YES to anything that you as a person won’t allow – be it personally or professionally. Never allow anyone to take an advantage of you.
Thirdly, always go an extra mile where you are not expected.

4. What difference do you see between you and other interns from other colleges (also employees)?
Other employees have spoken about a corporate world, but being a DSC student, I’ve already got an experience of it before entering it. Other employees have not experienced the pressure like we have.
Other employees have a theoretical knowledge about things. Being a DSC student, I have seen a balance between theoretical and practical knowledge and experience.

5. What did you feel when you entered DSC and now?
I was scared when I entered into DSC. There was this constant question ‘What if I don’t belong here?’ But once I was a part of DSC, I understood that being scared is good. DSC has made me confident as a person, made me professional, given me an idea of what you need to speak where. I’m glad that I could be a part of this programme where it’s not just studies but more than that. And obviously, a smile on your face, and a positive body language goes a long way.

6. Where do you see yourself 20 years from now?
When it comes to seeing myself after 20 years, I want to be happy. I want to be proud of everything that I could do to reach there. I want to be satisfied and remember my roots too.
